Join our fun and energetic staff at Summer Camp 2022! This summer day camp is action-packed with traditional sports and games along with enrichment activities! Each week offers a new theme to add a fun twist to games, activities and crafts. Please bring water, snacks, and lunch. Camp groups will be separated by age. For every girl who dreams of being a princess, Young Rembrandts offers its “Medieval Fashion” Workshop. Join us for 5 days of beautiful medieval pageantry. During the first day of class, students will draw portraits showcasing medieval headwear. Medieval clothing will be explored, learn basic figure drawing, and illustrate medieval-themed fashion accessories. More advanced figure drawing techniques and elaborate clothing will be drawn on the fourth day of class. The last day, we will see the accumulation of previous days’ teachings as the students create a large, wonderfully detailed medieval scene of a queen and her ladies in waiting. Nature Camps

Counselor In Training Camp, Ages 13-15 years

Go beyond summer nature camp with the Counselor in Training program! This 2-week program designed for young teens will provide CITs the opportunity to develop leadership skills and get a behind-the-scenes look at the recreation and outdoor industry, all while having fun and bonding with their peers.

CITs will spend mornings getting to know Sycamore Grove Park and the inner workings of summer nature camp before shadowing counselors and mentoring younger campers in the afternoon. Over these two weeks, CITs will gain valuable, hands-on leadership experience as they craft and lead their own camp activities. Participation in the CIT program will prepare young teens for volunteering at camp in the future and give them a strong foundation of skills needed to become a camp counselor.

*New this year, we will continue camp fun into the evening on Thursdays, with night games and a campfire. Thursday 6/30 camp will run from 2:30pm to 9:30pm.

Come to Summer Nature Camp and have some fun in the sun all while learning about the natural world around us. Through age-appropriate programs and activities the kids will experience the park by playing in the creek, going in search of buried treasure, and hiking Livermore’s hidden gem, Sycamore Grove Park. They will learn about everything from the solar system to tadpoles in the creek. Each week will have a different theme with new activities and adventures:

*New this year, for Explorers and Mountain Lions camps we will have one special day to continue camp fun into the evening, with night games and a campfire. On Thursdays for these weeks only, camp will run 3pm to 9pm.

Program Information

We are offering three (3) - two (2) week sessions in our two classrooms at Jane Addams Room A and Room B. There will be a week between sessions for cohort safety. Participants must sign up for both weeks.
