Living with Alzheimer's (3-part series)

Alzheimer's Association

There are three separate programs covering Early Stage, Middle Stage, and Late-Stage issues. Middle Stage is the most commonly requested. This program is a 3-part series that is scheduled as one 2-hour session a week for 3 consecutive weeks. Please attend all 3 parts. The program is designed to provide caregivers with the knowledge, tools, and strategies needed to cope with a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease or other dementia. Regarding the Middle Stage Program, the knowledge gained helps caregivers provide optimal care during the middle stage of the disease in order to maintain quality of life. Upon completion, participants should be able to:

  • List the symptoms and care needs associated with the middle stage of the disease.
  • Describe the relationship changes that occur in the middle stage.
  • Explain how caregivers can maximize safety, prepare for emergencies, and access respite care.

Sensational Seniors: Transitioning to a New Home - The When, Where, and How

Custom Moving & Hauling

Life comes in many phases, and "home" tends to evolve over time as things change and needs become different. This informative and interactive event will help provide guidance and tips of when to start thinking about a move, how to go through your things and prepare the house for your transition, and where the next chapter of life could lead you. Andriana and her husband, Art, are Certified Senior Move Mangers®, and their focus is to support seniors who are going through home transitions. Having guided hundreds of families in the Bay Area, their focus is on empowering seniors to proactively relocate into homes that best serve their future needs while helping disperse years of belongings during the process. They manage downsizing moves and assisted living moves by providing sorting, packing, floor planning, moving, and hauling services. Together, they take the mess and the stress out of moving and clearing out for life’s new chapters.
