The new order adds some clarifying language around essential business and activities, as well as some new directives. OPEN FACILITIES - Beginning May 4, 2020, the following LARPD facilities are OPEN with a priority of maintaining social and physical distancing of a minimum of six (6) between participants.
The following structures and park amenities are CLOSED and are prohibited from use until further notice:
Extended Student Services (ESS) elementary school program has been suspended until further notice.
PAL middle school program has been suspended until further notice.
Livermore Area Recreation and Park District preschool programs have been suspended until further notice.
All LARPD recreation and open space classes and programs have been cancelled until further notice.

During the shelter-in place order, the Friendly Visitor Program only consists of phone calls and writing notes to the seniors but it is a critical need. Volunteers are required to complete a background check (at no cost). Once the shelter-in-place is concluded, they would like volunteers to go back to regular visits with seniors.
