The Livermore Area Recreation and Park District 50+ Programs and Services Division offers a wide variety of programs and services for active adults 50+. We strive to ensure a physically and emotionally comfortable environment, encourage fun and excitement, and provide a safe place where all are welcome to socialize and be with their peers. We offer both full and refresher courses for participants who meet the minimum qualifications of being 50 years or older. Content covers the ageing process and how it affects the mature driver. Participants who complete the course will receive an auto insurance discount. To participate in the refresher course, participants must have competed the full course first.
Discover how to do yoga poses with a chair to help increase flexibility, balance and strength while enhancing mind-body awareness and the ability to relax. Classes are taught in an easy-going, noncompetitive atmosphere and are suitable for participants who do not want to get up and down from the floor.
Light & Easy Aerobics
Come and enjoy a combination of low-impact aerobics, strength training and stretch. Dance to soft, motivating music as you decrease your risk of falling and increase functionality with everyday tasks. Bring light weights and water.
Enjoy working in a social environment on sewing, knitting, crocheting and other textile projects. All work can be submitted to local Livermore charities.

Learn the American Version of this fun and exciting tile-based game that originated in China. Express your competitive spirit while fostering new relationships.
A gentle exercise that integrates your mind and body. Proven through scientific study to increase flexibility, muscular strength and fitness. Promotes correct body posture, improves breathing, blood pressure and balance. We offer a beginning and intermediate class to learn and grow within the program.
Zumba Gold Basic
Receive a total body aerobic workout through dance with low-impact exercises while listening to Latin and international music. Bring water and wear comfortable exercise attire.
