50+ Programs

The Livermore Area Recreation and Park District 50+ Programs and Services Division offers a wide variety of programs and services for active adults 50+. We strive to ensure a physically and emotionally comfortable environment, encourage fun and excitement, and provide a safe place where all are welcome to socialize and be with their peers. Additional programs and services are available online or visit the Robert Livermore Community Center to get more information.

LIVE Outdoor Zoomba Gold

Enjoy taking your favorite Zoomba class outdoors!  Come join Zumba Gold where you can follow along to the beat of Latin and international music with Low-impact exercise. Beginners welcome and treat yourself to some YOU time! Bring water and wear comfortable exercise shoes. Limited to 12 students. Classes are held Mondays or Thursdays. Virtual ZOOMba!

Time to take a "ME" timeout? This low-impact fitness class uses easy-to-follow calorie burning moves to improve balance, coordination, flexibility, stamina, cardiovascular function, and mood boosting! Keep yourself FIT while having FUN! Beginners welcome. Wear comfortable exercise shoes/attire and bring water. Classes will be taught by instructors virtually over ZOOM. Participants will have access to recorded classes through the duration of the session.Classes available on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.  Register for virtual ZOOMba HERE!!

Outdoor Light & Easy Aerobics

Come and enjoy a combination of low impact aerobics, strength training and stretch. Dance to soft, motivating music as you decrease your risk of falling and increase functionality with everyday tasks.  Bring light weights and water.Limited to 12 students. Tai Chi for Seniors Level 1, 2 or 3

Gentle exercise that integrates your mind and body. Proven through scientific study to increase flexibility, muscular strength and fitness. Promotes correct body posture, improved breathing, blood pressure and balance. Register HERE!

Line Dancing

This line dancing class is a great way to get exercise and have fun at the same time. Classes are available for beginners and intermediate students alike. We offer both in-person or virtual class options. In-person classes will be held outside at the Robert Livermore Community Center Courtyard. Enjoy fun music and learn to line dance! Register HERE!

Estate Planning with Jennifer Thaete

Review the primary options in creating an estate plan from Trusts, Wills Financial & Health Care Powers of Attorney and receive general overview of probate and estate taxes. $18 Res/$20 NR. Register HERE!

Holiday Flower Arranging with Gayle and Kathy: They'll walk you through the step-by-step process of creating a beautiful holiday arrangement using flowers from the grocery store.

Virtual Walk of Historic Homes in South Livermore: Join Livermore City Historian, Richard Finn, for a VIRTUAL walking tour of historic homes in South Livermore. Learn all about the homes, characters, and historical figures who built this town.

Flower Arranging Social: A quick recap from our flower arranging social on 10.23.20 at Ravenswood Historic Site. 

Chair Yoga: Discover how to do yoga poses with a chair to help increase flexibility, balance and strength while enhancing mind-body awareness and the ability to relax. There are many benefits that regular yoga practice can bring to one's life including sound sleep, allergy and asthma relief, and reduced stress and anxiety. Chair Yoga is free and classes are available on YouTube with instructor Lakshmi Sajith. Classes are suitable for participants who do not want to get up and down from the floor.
