Livermore Area Recreation and Park District’s Senior Program offer a wide variety of programs and services for adults 50+ years. They include health and wellness classes, enrichment classes, day and extended trips, social events, and services for those in need of resource and referral information.

The LARPD Equestrian Center was established and is owned and operated in partnership with the Livermore Stockman's Rodeo Association. These grounds include a Rodeo Stadium, Covered Arena, the Pole Barn, and two parking facilities.

The May Nissen Swim Center is a recreational pool facility that is open to the community during the summer months. Offering two (2) pools, one recreational pool and a wading pool perfect for the little ones.
LARPD operates four open space parks: Sycamore Grove, Holdener Park, Garaventa Wetland Perserves, and Brushy peak, as well as the open space trails, and the glorious Camp Shelly; coordinates and conducts nature and environmental education, interpretive programs and outdoor nature activities, and District-wide security and safety services.
The Livermore Area Recreation Recreation and Park District has a rich set of parks including community and neighborhood parks, dog parks, and areas for hikers, bikers and horses. If you love to camp, our beautiful and popular Camp Shelly is in South Lake Tahoe in the woods.

LARPD Extended Student Services (ESS) is a year-round licensed child development program which serves school age children in centers located at all eleven elementary schools in Livermore. The programs supports the students’ academic day by providing creative curriculum, based on Content Standards adopted by the California State Board of Education.
