PROJECT LOCATION: Sycamore Grove Park, Arroyo Road Entrance
PROJECT DATE: July – November 2019
*Update: The ARROYO ROAD ENTRANCE to Sycamore Grove Park is subject to CLOSURE July - November during Tri-Valley Conservancy’s bridge construction project. View Closure Map*
Construction is scheduled to begin July 15, 2019 on a permanent bridge that will replace the current footbridge connecting Sycamore Grove Park to the Del Valle Regional Preserve. Construction of this landmark bridge will provide year-round passage over the Arroyo del Valle Creek for hikers, cyclists, strollers, wheelchairs, and equestrians.
Tri-Valley Conservancy and LARPD are working together to ensure that construction will not affect LARPD summer programs. Safety is our first priority.
Tips During Construction:
- The Arroyo Road Parking Lot will be CLOSED.
-Stay away from large machinery and vehicles.
-Be aware of loud noises and excess dust near the construction site.
-Children should stay with camp leaders and not wander off toward construction site.
After Construction, look out for:
-Increased recreational opportunities (17 times the trails!)
-A safe way to cross the creek year-round.
-Access for cyclists, strollers, people with disabilities, and equestrians.
This project is part of the Tri Valley Conservancy Trail Connections Program. Thank you for your patience as we make new connections in the Tri-Valley. Come back in late 2019 and take your family for a hike over the new bridge!
