The Commission is a volunteer body that advises the Board of Directors on the District's personnel policies, acts as an appeals board for disciplinary actions, and makes recommendations on matters of personnel administration. Commissioners are appointed by the Board to serve four-year terms. Members must be qualified electors of the Livermore Area Recreation and Park Districts and shall hold backgrounds in the fields of Human Resources and/or Employment Law, while knowledge of the Parks and Recreation field is also desirable. The Commission holds public meetings on a quarterly basis.
