LARPD offers exciting Summer Nature Camps for kids ages 4 - 13. Camps are held in a special area of Sycamore Grove Park that is not open to the public. Campers play games, make crafts, sing songs and learn about nature. Camps for kids ages 7 and up include an overnight in the park on Thursday! Our Summer Nature Camp staff are the best on the planet and are great with kids of all temperaments.
Campers will use their five senses to learn about the plants and animals of Sycamore Grove Park. Activities include nature exploration, crafts and games. Hiking, games, storytelling and pond lurking will be only part of the fun. Meets Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Campers venture deeper into the park to discover nature’s secrets. In addition to games and crafts, there will be an overnight camp-out on Thursday. Meets Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., with an overnight stay on Thursday starting at 9:00 a.m. and ending on Friday, the following day at 3:00 p.m.
Campers will expand their outdoor skills by learning to find their way without streets and discovering how earlier residents of California lived without supermarkets and hardware stores. Meets Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., with an overnight stay on Thursday starting at 9:00 a.m. and ending on Friday, the following day at 3:00 p.m.
