The City of Livermore and Livermore Area Recreation and Park District will open a Cooling Center Tuesday, September 8 from 12:00- 5:00 p.m. at the Robert Livermore Community Center. It will be a place for those at risk when the temperatures rise, particularly seniors and those without access to air conditioning.
Cooling Center Location: Robert Livermore Community Center (4444 East Ave.)
Tuesday, September 8, 12:00- 5:00 p.m.
Social distancing and face covering requirements will be in place. Masks will be provided if needed. Capacity is limited in order to comply with Alameda County Health Orders.
Please DO NOT go to the center if you have a fever, if you have been exposed to or are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, or if you have been ordered to quarantine or isolate. All visitors to the center will be asked screening questions and will have their temperature taken before they may enter the building.
We will monitor National Weather Service reports and will post to social media and our website if the center will be open beyond Tuesday.
