This 12.2 acre community park was named after the longtime Livermore teacher, May Nissen in 1962. This park was renovated in 2019 and features the May Nissen Swim Center, group picnic reservation areas, basketball courts, restrooms, horseshoe pits, sports field, tennis courts, dog park and a preschool. In 2009, the baseball/softball field was renovated and renamed the Randy Johnson Junior Giants Field, after hometown boy, Randy Johnson, Hall of amer and five-time winner of the Cy Young award for professional baseball pitchers.
