Sycamore Grove Park will partially reopen on Tuesday, 1/24/23.

Sycamore Grove

1/23/23 - Sycamore Grove Park will partially reopen on Tuesday, January 24, at 7 am.

Water levels have receded, and we're excited to be able to reopen portions of the park.

Please do not cross any barricades, cones, or caution tape. We'll reopen the closed sections as soon as they are safe.

All trails in Upper Sycamore Grove Park and on the north side of the Arroyo del Valle Creek will remain closed.

Please stay on the open trails listed below.

Open Trails:

  • Arroyo Del Valle Regional Trail (paved path except between Walnut and Kingfisher Crossing)
  • Winery Loop Trail
  • Olivina Crossing (South of Paved Path)
  • Kingfisher Crossing (South of Paved Path)
  • Walnut Trail

Closed Trails:

  • Upper Sycamore Grove (Includes Wagon Road Loop, Cattail Pond Loop, Valley View Loop, Meadowlark Loop, Quail Run Trail, and Harrier Trail)
  • Kingfisher Crossing (North of Paved Path)
  • Olivina Crossing (North of Paved Path)
  • Magpie Nature Loop
  • Dry Creek Trail
  • Creek Trail
  • Nature Area
  • Sycamore Trail

Wetmore and Arroyo parking lots are open.

 The pedestrian gate at the Arroyo road entrance is accessible. 

PLEASE NOTE: In the case of additional high-flow releases from the Del Valle Dam, Sycamore Grove Park may close without notice if trail and park conditions become unsafe.

LARPD Rangers will continue monitoring water levels and assess damage at the park.
