Cheerleading Program @ The Club

LARPD Sports Staff

LARPD is excited to offer a cheerleading program where each participant will learn cheers, proper hand and body movements, as well as dance and jumping techniques. The session will conclude with a choreographed performance and the opportunity to cheer at a LARPD youth basketball game! No class 2/19

• Performance T-shirt, Pom Poms, and bow included in the fee.
• Please note there will be no stunting or tumbling in this program.

Karate Class 

Livermore School of Karate  

This class teaches self-defense through basic blocks, kicks, and punches of traditional karate while improving students’ self-confidence and overall fitness. Learn in a safe environment that promotes fun and sportsmanship. 

A karate uniform is required and can be purchased from the instructor for $40 at the first class session, or you may obtain it on your own.  Participants may wear comfortable athletic clothing to the first class.

Kidz Love Soccer - Soccer 1

Players will learn dribbling, passing, defense, and shooting goals! Fun skill games are played at every session, and every participant will have a ball at their feet. Small-sided soccer matches will be introduced gradually. Perfect for first-time players while being fun and engaging for kids with some experience. This is a 5/7 week session.

• All participants receive a Kidz Love soccer jersey!
• Shin guards are not provided; participants must have their own shin guards after the first meeting.

A great introduction to competitive soccer. Skillz and scrimmages teach advanced skill building, such as dribbling, passing, and shooting in a team format, as well as an introduction to goal-tending. Kids will scrimmage and learn to play together as a team. From defense and mid-field to forward and goalie...kids get exposure to playing every position and have a blast doing it. Appropriate for players of varying skill levels. This is a 5/7 week session.

• Each player receives a Kidz Love Soccer jersey.

The emphasis of this class is on an introduction to basic strokes and strengthening ball-tracking skills. Come ready to play engaging games that help develop a strong interest in the sport! This class uses ORANGE color balls.

• Must bring your own tennis racket, size 23 inches suggested.
• All beginner players ages 6-7 are to START at this level.
• Graduates from Tiny Tots level (ages 4-5), by instructor approval, are allowed to enter this level.
• This class is an orange ball beginner/intermediate level class.
• Classes are held at The Club at Livermore (2000 Arroyo Rd) OR Robert Livermore Community Center (RLCC, 4444 East Avenue). Club membership is not required to register.

Grand Slammers Tennis

This class emphasizes fine-tuning strokes during a rally. Drills, point play, and serves are the focus of this class. Get ready for some fun point-play games! This class is for advanced-level ORANGE ball players ages 9-17. This class is designed for a combination of advanced ORANGE ball players graduating from Junior Stars and Green Dot. Players should be comfortable with their tennis strokes.

• The player must already be able to have a 10-ball rally from the service line to enter this class.
• Please note – Beginner players, please do NOT sign up for class.
•   Must bring your own tennis racket, size 25 inches suggested. Teenagers are OK with adult-size rackets.
• Prerequisite required – Junior Stars or by instructor approval.
• Classes are held at The Club at Livermore (2000 Arroyo Rd). Club membership is not required to register.

Grand Slammers Week Day Classes

Tournament Training Tennis

This class is designed for players who have graduated from the Grand Slammers level. The focus is on stronger stroke production, shot selection, and point development. The player should be able to do a full-court rallying. Players are being trained to compete in in-house junior tennis tournaments and get ready to compete on high school teams.   Must bring your own tennis racket.No class on 05/25.

• Prerequisite required – Grand Slammers or by instructor approval.

This class focuses on drills, point play, match play, and high-level training. Players in this class are being trained to compete in USTA tournaments or already playing on high school teams. Technique advancement and point play are emphasized in this class. No class on 05/25.

Club V.I.P Level 1 Volleyball Skills Training

Since 1997, Club VIP volleyball has provided a progressive program designed to be taken multiple times to help break down skills and build a solid foundation. This program is for players who need to develop consistency and control in their skills. Evaluations will be held at the end of each session.  No class 4/19.

Club V.I.P Level 2 Volleyball Team Training

Level 2 Team Training is NOT FOR BEGINNERS, but for players that have instructor approval and have completed Level 1 Programs. The course is designed to be taken multiple times to help players learn the roles of the positions on the court and has a heavy focus on pass, hit, and set structure. Players will be taught player positions, different transitions on the court, and the fundamentals of a rally score game. Evaluations will be held at the end of each session.  No class 4/19

Level 3 volleyball is not for beginners but for players who have completed Level 1 and Level 2 with a recommendation from the instructor for Level 3. 

The cost will cover 1 ½ hour practices and 1 hour home games.  Any away games will be free and up to you to participate in. The schedule will be posted online at www.clubviprec.com once registration is complete.

• The fee includes a game jersey. 
• Evaluations will be held at the end of each session to determine next-level placement.
• Online registration is not available for Level 3.  
• No class on 03/06, 4/3
