Boomer Bowers is an English cream Labrador Retriever born on April 16, 2015. He has become an integral part of the Bowers family since his adoption at just over eight weeks old. Boomer has been a fixture in Livermore with outstanding contributions and service in the community.

Over the years, Boomer participated in events on school campuses and facilities throughout the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District, including reading with students with special needs, offering stress relief during exams, and providing comfort during times of grief or crisis.

Boomer has a strong work ethic with daily retrievals of the newspaper, putting away his stuffed toys, and providing comfort to individuals of all ages in Livermore. Boomer has also participated in community events, including the LARPD Dogtoberfest, Guinness Book of World Record contests, and the annual Race to the Flagpole sponsored by the Livermore-Granada Boosters.

Boomer and his family have generously supported Valley Humane Society through direct donations and contributing handcrafted dog beds made from wine barrels from local wineries.

Boomer, now a senior dog at nearly 60 in human equivalent years, faces disabling mobility issues due to osteoarthritis. Despite these challenges, he continues enjoying daily walks through Livermore's parks, paths, and trails.
