Where do I find the monthly activities? 

The Livermore Area Recreation and Park District published a seasonal Recreation Guide three (3) times a year, as well as accepts registration for our programs and classes online.  RECREATION GUIDE

How old do I have to be to be to join the senior activities? 

Our programs are for adults 50 years and older. 

What kind of fitness classes do you have? 

Please review our seasonal Recreation Guide for all our programs, classes, and services; once you find your program or class, please feel free to register online. 

Is there a membership fee? 

We do not charge a membership fee, however, some of our programs, classes, and services charge a minimal free to participate. 

If the program is for persons 50+ why do some have 60+ requirements? 

Our programs and classes are provided to you through the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District, however, some services are funded through specific agencies that have an age requirement of 60 years and older. 

What if I cannot afford to pay for classes or programs I am interested in taking? 

Livermore Area Recreation and Park District offers financial assistance to Livermore residents who apply and meet the minimum requirements. Please contact the Senior Services Division at (925) 373-5765 for more information. 

How often can I come to the lunch program? 

The Good Thyme Cafe lunch program is offered Monday through Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Reservations are highly encouraged and are accepted by calling (925) 500-8241. 

Is there a breakfast program? 

Although we do not offer a breakfast program, we do offer our Good Thyme lunch program Monday through Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Reservations are encouraged and accepted by calling (925) 500-8241. 

What other services, besides classes, do you offer for the 50+? 

We offer an extensive day and overnight trip program, movies, socials, holiday party and life enriching educational programs, and an extensive information and referral service including information on senior housing, transportation, navigating age related issues and on-site services with collaborative agencies. We also sell BART tickets for those 65+ and Dial-A-Ride tickets, offer free baseball tickets to the Oakland A’s, Billiards, Pinochle, Mahjong and more. How do I find out about trips? 

We offer an extensive day and overnight trip program through our Senior Services Division. Visit our 50+ Adventures page to get more information about all of the trips we offer throughout the year, as well as registration information.
