Summary
Below are the District's benefit summaries for full-time and part-time benefited employees.
Full-Time Pension Employees
A District employee who is considered Full-Time Pension has a scheduled workweek of 40 hours per week. All District Full-Time Pension employees are part of the Alameda County Employees Retirement Association (ACERA). New employees are registered with ACERA at Tier four (4) with a minimum retirement age of 52 at 1% and a maximum retirement age of 67 at 2.5%.
Full-time Pension benefited status positions receive the following benefits:
- $2,285.39 per month towards Kaiser medical plan provided by the District
- $1,076.74-$2,285.39 per month towards UHC Signature medical plan provided by the District
- $200.00-$400.00 per month medical waiver reimbursement
- The District covers 100% of the monthly premium for dental
- $750 annually towards a vision and hearing plan provided by the District
District Paid:
- $50,000 in Life Insurance or 1.5x annual salary, up to 200k
- Long-term and short-term disability
- Employee Assistance Program
District Offered (No District contributions)
- Ten (10) paid holidays
- Six (6) floating holidays
- Paid vacation and sick leave
- Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
- 457(b) Deferred Compensation - No District contribution
Full-Time Regular Employees
A District employee who is considered Full-Time Regular has a workweek of 40 hours per week. All District Full-Time Regular employees are eligible for a District contribution and a match to a 457(b) Plan.
Full-time Regular benefited status positions receive the following benefits:
- $2,285.39 per month towards Kaiser medical plan provided by the District
- $1,076.74-$2,285.39 per month towards UHC Signature medical plan provided by the District
- $200.00-$400.00 per month medical waiver reimbursement
- The District covers 100% of the monthly premium for dental
- $750 annually towards a vision and hearing plan provided by the District
District Paid:
- $50,000 in Life insurance or 1.5x annual salary, up to 200k
- Long-term and Short-term Disability
- 2% District contribution to a 457(b) and up to a 4% match
- Employee Assistance Program

Part-Time Benefited Employees
A District employee who is considered Part-Time Benefited has a workweek of 28-32 hours per week. Part-time benefited status positions receive the following benefits:
- $2,285.39 per month towards Kaiser medical plan provided by the District
- $1,076.74-$2,285.39 per month towards UHC Signature medical plan provided by the District
- $200.00-$400.00 per month medical waiver reimbursement
- The District covers 100% of the monthly premium for dental
- $560 annually towards a vision and hearing plan provided by the District
District Paid:
- $50,000 in Life Insurance or 1.5x annual salary, up to 200k
- Long-term and Short-term disability
- Employee Assistance Program
- Up to a 4% match contribution to a 457(b) Plan
