Quiet hours are strictly enforced from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. This is a family-oriented campground, and groups not respecting quiet hours will be warned once and then asked to leave if they continue to be disruptive. Campers will not receive a refund if they are asked to leave the campgrounds due to not following or abiding our camp rules or oral instructions provided by our District ranger staff.
Hot water is available from the sinks near the women’s restroom, but please do not wash dishes at these sinks. Scrape food scraps into the garbage, wash dishes using a biodegradable detergent, and dispose of wash water back a way from your campsite.
Campground amenities include a volleyball court, horseshoe pits and a ping-pong table. Baldwin Beach is a 1-mile walk from Camp Shelly. Fallen Leaf Lake and Desolation Wilderness trailheads are a short drive from Camp Shelly.
Food should be stored only in the provided bear-proof food storage lockers (aka “bear boxes”); this includes all food and beverage items. The food storage locker dimensions are 48" wide x 34.5" deep x 20.5" tall.
