Livermore, CA — The Livermore Area Recreation and Park District (LARPD) Holiday Food Drive and Toys for Tots Toy Drive resulted in significant support for local families and children this holiday season. Donations filled the lobby of the Robert Livermore Community Center, reflecting strong community participation throughout the drive.

Through the Holiday Food Drive, 24 forty-gallon bins of food were collected and delivered to Tri-Valley Haven to support individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. The Toys for Tots drive also generated two truckloads of donated toys, which will be distributed to children across the region through the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program.

“We’re really grateful for the community’s support,” said Jill Kirk, Community Services Manager. “The amount of food and toys donated was incredible, and we hope it makes a big difference for families and kids this holiday season.”

The holiday drives are part of LARPD’s ongoing efforts to partner with community organizations and to provide residents with opportunities to support local needs throughout the year.
