Ranger Explorers Program

Calling all teen nature lovers and outdoor explorers! Are you ready for an exciting journey full of hiking, and exploring the great outdoors? Ranger Explorers discover nature’s secrets, make new friends, and have tons of fun! Each session will show teens a different side of our local wildlife and open spaces. This program geared for young teens will give them a sense of independence, a community of peers, and a calling toward stewardship. Drop-off and pick-up at Sycamore Grove Ranger Station Picnic Area; transportation to offsite locations provided.

Keep the adventure going after dark with the Ranger Explorers campout at Mt. Diablo! Experience outdoor life after the sun goes down – play night games, enjoy a campfire, listen for owls on a night hike, and sleep under the stars. Saturday 10/24 8am to Sunday, 10/25 6pm. Registration link will be e-mailed from natureprograms@larpd.org after Ranger Explorers first meeting. 

Ranger Explorers Fall Campout @Mt. Diablo

Explore further with our Ranger Explorers Campout at Mt. Diablo! We’ll learn the ins and outs of camping, play night games, go on a night hike, and see (or hear!) who comes out after dark. Dinner and breakfast included. Campers supply their own camping equipment (except tents). Additional information to follow via email from the rangers. 

Camp registration is available first to those registered for the Ranger Explorers program. Public registration opens September 24th.
