NOTICE OF HEARING - Proposed Amendments to Ordinance No. 8 - Rules and Regulations Governing Conduct and Use of Parks and Other District Facilities
On August 14, 2024, the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District (LARPD) Board of Directors will consider the final adoption of amendments to LARPD Ordinance No. 8 (Rules and Regulations Governing Conduct and Use of Parks and Other District Facilities). The proposed amendments incorporate rules and standards employed by the California State Department of Parks and Recreation (as set forth in California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Section 4300 et seq.). The LARPD Board of Directors’ August 14, 2024, regular meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m.
Ordinance No. 8 was adopted by the LARPD Board of Directors on April 9, 2008, and was subsequently amended on February 25, 2009, January 25, 2012, September 14, 2016, January 31, 2018, and June 24, 2020. The LARPD Board of Directors previously considered the proposed amendments to Ordinance No. 8 at its March 27, May 8, and June 26, 2024, regular meetings. The agendas and agenda materials for these meetings are available on the LARPD website (larpd.org).
Copies of the full text of the proposed amendments are available for use and examination by the public at the LARPD District Office, located at the Robert Livermore Community Center, 4444 East Ave., Livermore, CA 94550, between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM, Monday-Friday. The proposed amendments are also available on the LARPD website and are included with the agenda for the LARPD Board of Directors’ August 14, 2024 meeting.
