Current Volunteer Opportunities

The Livermore Area Recreation and Park District is actively seeking volunteers to assist with our programs, services, and community special events. 

Listed below are some of our highlighted opportunities.

1.  Create an account and submit an application. 

2. Once you have submitted an application, you may log in to your LARPD volunteer account on MyIpmactpage.com.

3. Select the Opportunities tab and sign up for a Volunteer opportunity. 

CURRENT VOLUNTEERS 

1. Log in to your LARPD account on MyImpactpage.com and select the [Opportunites Tab].

2. Click on the Volunteer activity you are interested in.  Scroll to the schedule tab and click the sign-up+ button. 

 

NEW! Sycamore Grove Park: Earth Day Celebration (4/20) 

Earth Day Celebration @ Sycamore Grove Park 

Saturday, April 20th, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM 

Sycamore Grove Park, Wetmore Road Entrance (1051 Wetmore Road) 

We need volunteers to make this Earth Day event successful.  We’ll have drop-in crafts and activities for kids and adults, guided hikes in the park, and volunteer projects to directly better our local ecosystems.

VOLUNTEER PROJECTS

There are two Project Volunteer Opportunities  available to participate in:

PROJECT VOLUNTEERS: Invasive Plant Removal

Help out native wildlife by removing invasive plants at Sycamore Grove Park. 

PROJECT VOLUNTEERS: Bioblitz

A bioblitz is a communal citizen-science effort to record as many species within a designated location and time period as possible. 

 

 

 

NEW! LARPD Spring Break Camp (4/1 - 4/5)

Volunteer at LARPD’s Spring Break Camp! Campers will participate in age-appropriate camp games, activities, and sports.  Volunteers will interact with campers and play/lead games, activities, and sports.  

Ages 13+

Camp runs Monday through Friday, 4/1-4/5, with a volunteer commitment each day from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Location: Robert Livermore Community Center, 4444 East Ave. Recreation Building

Sycamore Grove: Open Space Volunteer Days - Ongoing 

Upcoming Dates:

  • May 18th, 2024  - 9 am to 12 pm
 

 SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER

Every 3rd Saturday of the month from September to May, join Ranger Seth for a volunteer work day in the park. From removing invasive plants to litter pick-ups to trail maintenance, volunteers will help maintain Sycamore Grove Park as a beautiful and healthy place for visitors and wildlife.
Participants will hike out into the park, possibly going off trail.

Please dress for being outdoors; sun protection and layers are recommended. Bring water as well! If you have gloves, please bring them. Otherwise, we have some spares we can provide.

Ages 14 and older.  Individuals and groups are welcome 

May contain: clothing, shorts, glove, art, collage, plant, vegetation, person, footwear, shoe, hat, t-shirt, soil, adventure, hiking, leisure activities, nature, outdoors, accessories, and glasses
