A breathtaking experience, explore the beauty of south Livermore by hiking, biking, walking, or jogging through this 847-acre open space park. Open seven (7) days a week from 7:00 a.m. to sunset daily. There is a $7 daily parking fee if you choose to park in the parking lot, or for frequent park visitors, we encourage you to purchase an annual parking pass. The construction on the paved path through Sycamore Grove Park is almost complete! Trails may be subject to closure during construction as we finish the final phases of the project. Some parts of the park may be open when construction is not occurring. The construction schedule for the next few days is as follows: Beginning Friday, August 30, there are no trail closures of Sycamore Grove Park. We will continue to update this notice to provide you with the most current and up to date information. Please note that the park is also subject to closure from time to time due to High Fire Danger. There is a $7 per vehicle daily fee for parking, payable at machines near the park kiosks. The machines accept $1 and $5 bills as well as coins (except pennies). The machines do not make change. It will print out a pass that must be displayed on the dashboard of your vehicle with the date visible. Please note there is an annual parking pass available that will provide significant savings over the daily fee for regular park visitors.
Annual Passes allow frequent park visitors to save money and time. If you are a Livermore resident and come once a month or more, it will be worth your while. Out-of-district residents who visit the park twice a month or more will also save money. Seniors (Age 60+) receive a substantial discount. Annual Passes are hang-tags that you can use in multiple vehicles. Passes are prorated for blocks of months, so you get the same great value regardless of when you purchase your pass.
Annual Passes must be visible on the dash or rear-view mirror. Annual passes can be purchased from rangers in the park, at the Robert Livermore Community Center (4444 East Avenue) or you can fill out this form and mail it in.
Horse trailers can park at the Sycamore Grove Park entrance on Wetmore Road only. Daily parking fee is $7.
