Livermore Area Recreation and Park District has closed facilities and suspended programs in response to the Alameda County Public Health Department Order but we want you to know - our parks and open spaces remain OPEN! Parks and open spaces are an essential resource for public health and wellness, especially in uncertain times like we are experiencing today. While we are staying away from many activities and public places, parks and open spaces provide access to nature, fresh air, sunshine, and enough room for everyone to move around and have fun! You may experience reduced service levels due to employee restrictions based on the public health order so please embody a "pack-in, pack-out" mind set to help keep our outdoor spaces clean and safe. Be mindful if choosing to utilize restrooms, wear your face covering, practice safe social and physical distancing of a minimum of six (6) feet, and practice healthy hand washing habits using soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds as required by the public health Order. To avoid overcrowding, we suggest visiting the park on less crowded days or times, or taking a walk in your neighborhood. Thank you and stay healthy.

The Livermore Area Recreation and Park District requires commercial photographers have a permit when taking photographs within any District facility or parkland. A commercial photographer is defined as any individual who will take video, film, photographs or any other capture of image, whether moving or still, with the objective to sell, make profit from, or barter, including but not limited to documentaries, commercials, television series and movies, motion picture, advertising, public service announcements, editorial, stock, portraits, etc.
A Sycamore Grove Photography Permit will be issued to individual commercial photographers. Businesses will be required to purchase a Sycamore Grove Photography Permit for each individual commercial photographer onsite; one permit does not encompass an entire business or multiple commercial photographers.
Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis during business hours Monday-Thursday from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., and Friday from 8:00 a.m - 5:00 p.m. We require a minimum of 48 business hours for processing; applications submitted on a Friday may not be approved for a photo shoot that weekend. The $50 per day fee is due at the time of submitting your application. If the fee is not received with the application, and/or there is a household balance on your account, new applications will not be approved and a permit will not be issued until the outstanding balance is paid in full. Two (2) parking passes will be issued for the for photographer for the day of their permit. These parking passes are not transferable to any other date, time, or individual. Application requests may be sent to email@example.com.
