Get ready for some awesome outdoor fun! Teens and tweens ages 12-16 are invited to become LARPD Roving Rangers. We will combine fun and learning while exploring the great outdoors. Led by an LARPD Ranger, adventures include hiking around parks in the Bay Area.

Bay Area parks we’ll explore: Sycamore Grove, Del Valle, Brushy Peak EBRPD, Brushy Peak LARPD, Sunol, Henry Cowell State Park, Pleasanton Ridge, and Pillar Point!

Group will meet at Sycamore Grove Park on Mondays at the Ranger Station Picnic Area. Transportation provided from Ranger Station to/from off-site adventures.

Keep the adventure going after dark with Junior Ranger & Roving Rangers Campout. Experience Sycamore Grove Park after the sun goes down – play night games, enjoy a campfire, listen for owls on a night hike, and sleep under the stars. Sunday 11/22 @ 6pm to Monday 11/23 @ 12pm.

Junior Rangers & Roving Rangers Campout

Open Space Staff

Dinner and breakfast included. Campers supply their own camping equipment (except tents). Additional information to follow via email from the rangers.

Campout registration will be available first to those registered for the Junior Rangers & Roving Rangers programs. Public registration will open on October 22nd.
