Each week offers a new theme to add a fun twist to games, activities, and crafts. Please bring water, snacks, and lunch. Camp groups will be separated by age. Sign in/out will be located at the Robert Livermore Community Center. **Drop In not available. No Camp 7/4, 7/5.

LARPD SPLASH Camp

LARPD Staff RLRC Fiesta Room

NEW to LARPD! Join our experienced and energetic LARPD staff Monday-Thursday at the Robert Livermore Aquatic Center. Drop-off your child with us from 1-4pm, so they can enjoy a dip in the pool, lay out in the sun with friends, and participate in other fun indoor activities/games. Both the competition and activity pool will be open for use. We highly recommend your child being proficient at swimming to participate in this camp. Please have your child come dressed in a swimsuit with sunscreen, a towel, snacks, and plenty of water. Check-in will take place in the Recreation Building.

*Drop-in not available. No camp 7/4.

**The pool will be open for public swim. Participants/staff will have a designated space to gather at the Tide Pool Patio. Lifeguards will be on duty.

Around the World Craft Camp

Pack your bags and let’s go exploring! As we cut, draw, paint, color, glitter, glue, and make crafts together, we’ll explore a different country each day through interactive projects. All crafts will be geared towards our “travels” and the country we visit each day. Join us for a week of artistic creativity, exploring, and summertime craft fun!

Under the Sea Craft Camp

Dive down deep and discover what lives under the sea – and in your imagination! Campers will construct projects pertaining to marine life through colorful illustrations, interactive projects, and more. This summer camp engages budding biologists with creative, active, and hands-on projects all while learning about our oceans and the amazing creatures and plant life that live “Under the Sea!”

Travel Around the World Clay Art Camp

Elevate your summer with a vibrant and imaginative adventure at our “Travel Around the World” clay art camp featuring colorful air-dry clay.  Join us on an exciting journey through global destinations, cuisines, cultures, wildlife and more. Campers will unleash their creativity as they sculpt hand-crafted figurines, animals, and artistic creations, breathing life into their imagination visions.

Use stop motion tricks to create Fires, explosions, and even Floods, as your characters can battle it out or work together to save the day in this action-packed stop motion class. You'll work in small groups to storyboard, create the action, Film, and voice-over these exciting movies.

Children will learn how to safely thread a needle, work with patterns and hand sew their own pieces, such as bags/sacks, glasses/phone cases, 3D cupcakes and more. Sewing techniques taught in this class include: running stitch, slipstitch, how to sew buttons and more.  New projects for "returning" students!

Mom, I want to learn how to sew!” Sewing is not only fun and creative; but it is a useful learning skill. Glitz, Glitter and Glam Dance Camp

Glitz! Glitter! Glam! Get ready for a fun filled week of shining bright while learning fun and exciting dance moves. Get ready to show off that Girl Power with a rockstar week of bright colors and bright lights. This camp will include fun activities and crafts related to style, wardrobe and all the ways to shine like the rockstar you are! This camp is held at the Livermore High School Dance Studio.

Little Doctor Camp

Discover the fascinating science of the human body with Little Medical School. Through hands-on crafts, games and role playing. Participants will learn STEM concepts in a fun and unique way. From broken bones, to stitches, there's something for every future healthcare provider and science lover. Each student will receive a working stethoscope and a variety of projects.

The Little Veterinarian School encourages elementary school children to role play and explore the exciting world of veterinarians. Using interactive demonstrations, crafts and games, kids learn how to take care of a pet and use instruments that real veterinarians use. 

Gurus - Public Speaking: Around the World in 5 Days

Bring out confidence in your children! The week theme is "Around the World in 5 days". The theme-based activities, speech and debate topics make a fun learning environment for kids. Students do tongue-twister challenges, story-telling, poems, games, presentations with props and dress-up. Children learn to present with confidence, use emotion, and connect with the audience fluently. Shy students and talkative ones alike will benefit and learn from this class. 

Gurus - Public Speaking/Debate – Sports and Teams

Be it sports or academics, students who have confidence as well as talent become successful. Bring out confidence in your children with this fun and exciting Sports and Team activity themed public speaking and debates summer camp. Children learn to present with confidence, use emotions, and connect with the audience fluently. Students present motivational speeches, campaign speeches, debates, and town hall presentations on sports and related interesting topics!Shy students and talkative ones alike will benefit and learn from this camp. 

Summer Nature Camp at Sycamore Grove Park

Come to Summer Nature Camp and have some fun in the sun while learning about the natural world around us. Through age-appropriate programs and activities, the kids will experience the park by playing in the creek, searching for buried treasure, and hiking Livermore’s hidden gem, Sycamore Grove Park. They will learn everything from the solar system to tadpoles in the creek.  Each week will have a different theme with new activities and adventures.

*Explorers and Mountain Lions camps will have one special day to continue camp fun into the evening, with night games and a campfire. The camp will run from 3 pm to 9 pm on Thursdays for these weeks only. 

Tadpoles ( Ages 5 to 6)

Explorers (Ages 7 to 9)

Counselor In Training Camp

Go beyond summer nature camp with the Counselor in Training program!  This 1-week program designed for young teens will allow CITs to develop leadership skills and get a behind-the-scenes look at the recreation and outdoor industry, all while having fun and bonding with their peers. 

CITs will gain valuable, hands-on leadership experience as they shadow counselors, mentor younger campers, and craft and lead camp activities.  Participation in the CIT program will prepare young teens for volunteering at camp and give them a strong foundation of skills needed to become a camp counselor.  After completing the camp, CITs can volunteer for Summer Nature Camp. 

*Week of 6/24-6/28, CITs will join the older campers on Thursday for a special evening session.  Camp will run 3pm to 9pm 

Destination Shelly 

LARPD Ranger Staff 

Four days and three nights of fun at LARPD's Camp Shelly near South Lake Tahoe. Swim in a cold mountain lake, hike mountain trails, cook food around the campfire, play ping pong or capture the flag and more. Transportation and food included. Campers supply their own camping equipment (except tents). Mandatory pre-trip meeting for all participants and parents/guardians.

LARPD Summer Camp  at Jane Adams Preschool            

LARPD Preschool Summer Camps offer a traditional camp experience emphasizing fun, hands-on activities, and learning adventures.  Be prepared to get messy and bring a healthy, nut free snack each day. Jane Adamms Preschool is located at 1310 Murdell Lane, Livermore. Each camp is a 3 week session.

Children must be able to use the restroom independently to participate.

Come join the Robert Livermore Aquatic Center Team! The American Red Cross Junior Lifeguard program builds a strong foundation of knowledge, attitudes, and skills geared towards the prevention and responses to emergencies.

Each day participants enjoy a variety of water and land activities designed to promote fitness, self-esteem, leadership skills, and TEAMWORK.

Participants who complete the academy are invited to volunteer throughout the summer season. Jr. Lifeguard T-Shirt is included for participants and will be given on the first day of class.

The Club at Livermore Fun skill building tennis drills that help campers learn the basics while building confidence. Camp will focus on rally contests, playing games, and learning scoring, understanding basic tennis rules and end with a camp tournament. Students will be grouped by age and ability. Come learn a sport you can play for a lifetime! Camp is suggested for beginner and intermediate Orange ball players. Please bring a tennis racket, a small snack and plenty of liquids to drink. In this interactive camp, campers will use LEGO® bricks to create and build different characters from their favorite video games. Themes such as Super Mario Bros, Roblox, Beyblades, Pokémon, and Minecraft come to life through the use of our mosaics, and 3D art, all made out of LEGO® bricks. Don’t forget classic Nintendo and SEGA themes such as Zelda, Duck Hunt, Pacman, and Sonic the Hedgehog! Each day will be a new adventure as the virtual and LEGO® worlds combine!

Dinosaurs, Myths, and Legends! Dig up some proof when little more than fables are left behind! Learn about archaeologist, paleontologists, and the techniques scientists use to excavate and decern fact from fiction! Study bone fragments, pottery shards, amber deposits, and fossils to understand what they can tell us about history! Make and take-home projects each day like a fossil reproduction, and amber time capsule, coins from around the world!

Creative Contraption Warning! This camp is designed by you, the Inventor! Each day you will be given a series of challenges which must be overcome using basic materials, simple machines, tips from world famous inventors and the most important thing of all your imagination!

Edible Science

Science Beginnings   

We’ll make lip smacking experiments while exploring topics in food chemistry and earth sciences. Learn the science of lemonade sorbets. Use Oreo cookies to explore the phases of the moon. Many old favorites such as Root Beer ice cream return.  We’ll cook up density concoctions and create some fizz as we learn about CO2. Come hungry! Note on allergy: we use various food ingredients including dairy and chocolates for our experiments.  

Invent, Innovate, Engineer

 Science Beginnings   

This inquiry-based class uses contraptions, wood planks, catapults, and K'nex to explore STEM concepts that are aligned to national educational standards. Campers learn to problem-solve and discover concepts in physics. Take up an engineering challenge-build a simple moving contraption using screw drivers. Building and investigating different designs with K'nex, students learn principle of simple machines, structures, and moving parts. They learn to build 1st, 2nd and 3rd class levers and pulleys. Create intricate structures, rides, and roller coasters, as students understand structural design with K'nex. Using wood planks, learn the principals of slope, force, and balance as you make tunnels, ramps, towers, and chutes.

Calling all space explorers! You and your STEAM Team will embark on an unforgettable journey through space in search of a new home for humankind. This camp will whisk you away on a voyage of discovery through our galaxy and beyond. Your mission? Choose a new planet to inhabit and design and create an amazing city where humans can thrive. Can you convince everyone on Earth to jump into a rocket and join you? Get ready for an out-of-this-world adventure! 

Slimetopia 3

Challenge Island 

Prepare to stir up the most delicious-looking slime recipes on the Seven Seas! You and your STEAM Team have been chosen to be slime sous chefs on the S.S. Slimetopia cruise ship and it’s up to you to "feed" the slime hungry passengers morning, noon and night! You'll mix up Belgian Waffle Slime, Fast Food Hamburger Slime, Ice Cream Sundae Slime and Spectacular Sushi Slime just to name a few. Slimetopia 3 is sure is sure to sell out in a squishy, squashy splash, so book your cruise cabin ooey, gooey fast!

Note: Although the slimes in this camp may look and smell yummy, they are for playing not for tasting! 

Island Doll Camp

Rollerblade on down to the dreamiest, STEAMiest camp in town. You and a STEAM Team of friends will help design and deck out our Island Doll Land complete with cool convertibles, pink waterslides and seriously stylin’ Island Doll STEAM houses!
