Little Scientists become Little Hydrologists by studying the water cycle and how it shapes our lives. We will explore water through song, play, arts and crafts, and wading through the Arroyo Del Valle Creek that runs through Sycamore Grove Park.

Little Scientists will deep dive into all our senses to learn about Sycamore Grove Park. We will also learn how animals navigate their homes with their specialized senses too. We will explore the park through sight, feel, smell, hearing, and even by taste; we will go on adventures, wade through the creek, play, and create art together.

Step into the shadows with us for a special nocturnal-themed session of Sycamore Science Camp! Together we’ll explore the fascinating world that awakens after sunset, discovering the animals and plants that thrive in the dark and the amazing adaptations that help them hunt, hide, communicate, and survive at night. From silent predators to nocturnal blooms, we will uncover the secrets of the nighttime world through hands-on activities, games, and outdoor exploration.

Sycamore Science Camp Field Trip |  Night Hike

Join us for this special nighttime session of science camp to put to practice what we learned about in camp! We will meet just before sunset at our Nature Area entrance and set out to prowl the trails in search of the abundance of nocturnal life that calls the park home. This will be about a mile long, 2-hour hike and caregivers are expected to stay with the group for the duration.
