Prevent Vehicle Theft

With warmer weather and spring break approaching, vehicle theft and car burglaries tend to increase in our community. The Livermore Police Department encourages residents to take a few simple precautions:

  • Always lock your vehicle — even when parked at home.
  • Remove valuables from plain view (or better yet, take them with you).
  • Never leave your car running unattended — not even for a quick stop.
  • Remember that suspects often check door handles first before breaking windows.

A few extra seconds can make a big difference.

Lock it. Hide it. Take your keys.

And don’t forget — Daylight Saving Time begins March 8. Set your clocks one hour ahead.
